Help/Support Need Help Jailbreaking my Android Device

Hi, my first Android device just arrived and I have no idea where to start with jailbreaking it / getting mods on it. Would someone be able to please help me? Or perhaps direct me to the right place to start? There isn't much activity in the Android section of the site, that's why im posting it here

Never root a device you cannot afford to lose.

There are root emulators just FYI. Safer.
