[Tutorial] How To Virtualize Mac OS X In Windows!

Thanks to the Soul Dev Team , you can install the Operating System OS X Maverick via a few clicks on our Windows machines through the use of VMware. Natively, VMware does not allow the installation of Apple systems, so we will use a fix that will allow us to bypass this little problem.

Requirements:
A 64 Bit PC

OS X Mavericks

VMware Workstation

A mind no matter how small

Below, it will be shown how to install the MAC OS X 10.9 Retail Mavericks on a virtual machine by using VMware 7 or higher. What you need is the software package "Mavericks OS X 10.9 Retail VMware Image" containing the image pre-installed OS and some of the tools made available again from Soul Dev Team , available for download directly at http: //www.souldevteam .net / blog / downloads / . For your convenience, below shows the link where you can get all the information about it and the direct link where you can download the image of the OS:

Alternatively, a simple Google search will allow you to find alternative and valid link to download the file.

Once you have everything you need, you must be sure that your machine supports Hardware Virtualization Technology (VT) . Otherwise, you can bypass the VT applying a patch present in the same package downloaded. To check that the option is activated, you can download a tool from the website of the manufacturer of your processor:

In the case of Intel, launching the utillity you can check if it is compatible with the hardware virtualization or not

If your processor supports VT, restart your computer and enter the BIOS. In the advanced settings (each BIOS is different, refer to your manual for support) make sure that the "Virtualization Technology" is set to Enabled.

For the changes to be made properly carried a Cold Restart, turning off the PC and then on again after about ten seconds.

In the event that your processor is not compatible with the VT, you can install the patch in the folder "OS X 10.9 Retail Mavericks ImageVMware Image VMware \ VMware Unlocker - Hardware Virtualization Bypasser." In this case, the performance of the virtual machine that we are going to install is not guaranteed.

The next step is to patch VMware so that you can install an OS from Apple. Run as administrator, the executable "install.cmd" (again in the folder unzipped) located in "Mavericks OS X 10.9 Retail Image VMware \ VMware Unlocker - Mac OS X Guest \".

After, you should be able to create a new virtual machine in VMware, you should be able to select the new entry "Apple Mac OS X".

At this point, you just need to open the preconfigured VMware image in the folder "OS X 10.9 Retail Mavericks VMware Image \ OS X Mavericks" by simply clicking on VMware on "File> Open".

As you can see in the picture below, I have changed the configuration of the virtual machine by increasing the number of CPUs and amount of RAM memory. Do the same depending on the amount of available resources.

The Hard disk is the VMDK file in the OS X Mavericks folder, the settings are an example^^

If all the operations are completed successfully, launching the virtual machine OS X Mavericks just created should appear in the configuration screen of the language. After setting up your new OS (you can skip some steps related to the account Apple if you want) you can work as if you were on a Mac.

NOTE : settings such as language and time may not be compatible with your selections. In this case, you can modify your system settings once accessed on the desktop and save the changes properly.

As a last step, I recommend you install VMware Tools in order to use a larger number of screen resolutions and the Shared Folder option that will serve you in case you want to share files between the host machine and the virtual machine. To do this, load the file "Darwin.iso" in the CD / DVD drive and run the virtual machine.
