Try to turn on “add 50 items in storage” option while respin the the wheel (while “infinite resources” option is ON) that need diamonds (in the lab, level up spin, refreshing global market, etc), the diamond does increase instead of freezing, but for fixed amount of 50.

 

P.S.: just remember to turn off the “add 50 items in storage” options when you done spinning , or you will end up having more items than you need.
