It still works, even after Urd update.

 

If you're having trouble try:

Deleting the data files and then closing and restarting pad to re-download them.

Copy the files to a different directory on your phone and then on your PC instead of directly to the PC.

Delete the PAD bin editor folder and re-extract it before trying to edit the (freshly downloaded) files.

Finally as piggy pointed out - You have to move the .bin files to the Bin Editor folder before opening them.

EDIT: Since Multiplayer came out the above guide can be extended to those dungeons as well. Machine Hera's dungeon gives as much XP as Arena and Scarlet and Zaerog8 can be spammed for farming MP. I personally don't run these as I already have max skilled Z8 and Scarlet and I only ran Machine Hera a dozen times for awakenings.

 

If you're afraid of getting banned for using it in multiplayer then relax 'cus the single player mode is exactly the same as non-multiplayer - It's client sided. Heck you could enter multiplayer, disconnect and then activate the hack to finish the dungeon.

I haven't tried entering 2-player mode with the hack enabled yet, I'll do that with my alt when I get my second device fixed but it should work and your only risk is getting reported by the other guy.

 

One final thing: If you use edited files in the ranking dungeon, only your score will be invalidated, you won't get banned.

You can just turn off the enemy skill if it is too annoying

Follow the guide on the first page except for step 5 and 6. Instead of using the multiply stats dialog I just set fixed stats for the enemies.

On your second post - codebook should be created when you first open the files with PBE. You're probably getting blanks because your .bin files have been edited before. You need to delete them and restart PAD to re-download them, then edit the stock ones.

 

 

You can just turn off the enemy skill if it is too annoying

I just tried that but editing enemy turns in data 21 will only prolong the cooldown of the normal attack, preemptive attacks, which are the primary time-waster, will still trigger. Preemptive data is stored in data29 but when I try to open that file PBE crashes. If you know a way to turn them off completely please share! =D

Still prolonging enemy turns is helpful in some cases and it's easy to do while you're writing in the HP/Armor/DMG numbers. I'll use it from now on, thanks!

The button to turn off all enemy skill is in the tools itself. It the button below the multiply stats. Clicking on it may look like it does nothing, but it actually turned off all the enemy skill including preemtive attacks etc

urm...  I don't know exactly but I did find out that having data29 in the same folder as the padbineditor application will make it crash. no matter what data file you use. 

 

also, you can't put your PadBinEditor into another folder. I have mine in my documents, but no deeper than that.
