I can login into my IOSGods account just fine using a web browser, but when the app itself prompts me to login into my account in order to download something, I enter my info click login and it just freezes after that. Is this a me issue and I’m doing something wrong or is it something else?

Please provide more information. A video may be helpful too.

If you haven't already, try logging in via Private/Incognito mode.
