Help/Support Install method alters app functionality

Background

This is my first post and hopefully it's the rigtig place to post it. Also I hope that I'm not breaking any rules, I read them and it seems that I will be ok.

I'm an iOS developer and mostly interested in jailbreaking, iOS hacking etc. from a security point of view.

I'm using a A1778 with iOS 13.7 that is jailbroken with unc0ver as my test device.

Now on to my actual question. 

 

Installation method changes app behaviour

I installed an app from AppCake, it's called 5K Runner (com.heavydutyapps.RunC25K) and it was working just fine. I then tried to download the IPA (againg from AppCake) directly to my macbook to test installing it that way.

I then tried installing it with different tools (impactor and sideloadly), installing works but the functionality seems to be altered as follows:

Impactor (using paid dev account or enterprise certificate): The app installs just fine but it contains no data (training plan).

Sideloadly (using paid dev account or enterprise cert): The app installs just fine but it contains no data (training plan).

Sideloadly (using the "jailbreak-only mode" which I suspect fake-signs the IPA): The app installs fine and DOES contain the training plan however it's is unable to connect to apple-health (which worked when installing directly on device from AppCake app).

 

Now I'm very curios why it would behave that way, the part where apple-health integration is not working I'm guessing is related to some entitlements getting messed up in the install process, but how and why? And why would the "data" of the app disappear all together when installing with a legit apple account or even an enterprise certificate?

It seems that the bundle id get mangled when installing (to avoid clashes on app store connect I guess) could this be what is causing the issues?

I searched for some insight on how those install tools work but came up empty handed.

 

Sorry about the lengthy post. I'm really hoping that someone can shed some light on this.

Really helpful post, thanks. I would like to ask, but who knows good applications and programs for the MacBook? I just recently started using a laptop on macos, but I really like it, but I don't know what applications to install on it.

I have been using a laptop from Apple for many years, I like how it works and how it looks. I often work with him. I often download movies to this laptop, but it has its own video format, and when I want to watch a movie from the TV, a problem arises. It was solved by a program that I found on this site, setapp.com. A very useful app came out. I can advise you may like it.
