For those having issues:

The .db file no longer works once past a certain update, even if you downgrade it just wont open the app. The only solution for this is to wipe your own data and start a new file, which will create a new .db file (do this once you’re on 2.4.1). Once you wipe your game data (I used “Apps Manager” for this), you will be able to open the game on 2.4.1 and continue with the hack as instructed on this post. Hope this helps!
