Help/Support Is there a way to run the autotouch script from other application?

Hi friends,

I want to run AutoTouch scripts on iPhone from my computer but they use different internet. My phone is on a Cellular Data. I have an idea is to write an application (A) IOS connecting to the server socket. My computer sends the request to the server, the server will send the request to the application (A) and A will run an AutoTouch script. But I don't know is there any way to run AutoTouch script from another application?

you can select the app where the script should execute, but u want that another app run the .lua script or just the ability to chose where the script should execute ?

Hi D red,

I will pre-create the .lua scripts using autotouch. And when my application receives a request from the server, it will run any .lua file in the list available in autotouch.

I am sorry but i really don’t understand where you need help , if it is about to code the .lua or how to « make it launch when your app receives the request »

I am not a pro with coding and all 😬 but here is a way with less code maybe :

1) install activator and make that (example) when you 3 touch your home screen bouton it lunch xxx.lua script.

2) create a basic app (i even don’t know about making that but there should be many reddit or stackoverflow help) that, when she receive a request [or when it is 4 a.m. (example)] it 3 touch the home screen bouton.

That would execute the .lua script when the app receive a request or when it is 4 a.m. 🤷🏼‍♂️

if i had to do it i think that i would work on that. i don’t know if it is possible with basic Obj-c or if you need ALSO to create tweak with more headers

Hi @D red,

After several weeks, I used THEOS to create an IOS application. It can trigger run activator command line to single press home button and then start xx.lua script. But when I configure quick press home button twice to run the script, activator click home button is very slow so I can't start xxx.lua script. I tried press home button twice by hand and still succeeded
Here is my command:

activator send activator send libactivator.system.homebutton && activator send activator send libactivator.system.homebutton

Happy that u could made your app :rock:

For the activator command i think that either there is not enough time (the iphone thinks that there is only one press on the home button because there is no time between the 2 actions) or that it is too slow like you said.

Me, I would set an amout off- seconds before clicking again ( but a very small one like 0.1 seconds for example)

things like that :

activator send activator send libactivator.system.homebutton && sleep 0.1 //your amount of seconds && activator send activator send libactivator.system.homebutton
