Help/Support How to add a custom script to a deb file?

I have coded a shell script. However I can't figure out how to embed it within a deb and call it as needed. Does anyone know how to do it?

No. I mean a script that I can put into /usr/bin

Just add the file inside the .deb and call it in a postinst/preinst.. script.
