Help/Support AsRock X370 Taichi BIOS Help W/ UEFI USB

As you may know, there’s been a recent release for jail breaking iOS 13-13.3.1 on Linux using CheckRa1n.

There was a tutorial on how to flash your usb with the Ubuntu ISO using Balena.

Apparently everything was successful with this process.

Now the real issue comes in. My BIOS/UEFI-magigger.

When I try booting “UEFI: Flashdrive, Partition 1” — It takes me to a black screen with some errors and then surprises me with a few streaks of RGB lines you’d see if you stared closely enough into a 1990’s box TV.

Secure Boot is disabled.

Fast Boot is disabled.

Boot Options, by default, are Legacy Only.

I have an option to disable or UEFI Only.

Tried UEFI only, but nothing changes.

Any idea what it could be? Is it because this is a custom PC I built? Maybe I need to update my BIOS? IDK 😧

I suspect it’s a problem with the usb. Does the computer restart or as soon as you choose to boot from the usb it crashes I recommend either trying to reinstall Ubuntu they’re a lot of better ways of dual booting as that what I expect is happening just put the iso on.

As soon as I boot from the USB, it goes into a black screen, displays errors, and then a streak of rbg lines happen. That’s it, if I leave it as is, it’ll just stay there. No reboots, no crashes.

the USB I use is a Kingston Data Traveller G4 16GB.

sh!t, I wish the girls I knew, knew about these stuff, they just suck at technologies, including 2 of my closest friends smh 😩

anyways, did you try any other methods? like creating the bootable usb using rufus? https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/tutorial-create-a-usb-stick-on-windows#2-requirements
check this from the official website, I think it'd be best if you'd used Rufus.

ah and, did you search for those stuff it shows on the black screen?

Lol. I am glad I’m not like other females, I’d rather spend money on tech than makeup. Anyway, I haven’t tried recently, but I can try Rufus and check out to see if I can update my BIOS to an appropriate version and mess with the settings.
