Well this isn't answering your question but if you were on mac (sorry not mobile) you can use a system built in or firewire.

Also, if you want to share data between devices at home, theres network based storage that connects to your router. Dropbox is easy for sharing multimedia between devices. And for iDevices there is bluetooth and Airdrop/airplay
