    ifunbox is not letting me browse through the file system

    This is why you install important tweaks such as Apple File Conduit or OpenSSH incase something like this happens.

     

    Can you SSH into your iPhone?

    nope :( and I do have openssh installed

    Try SSH'ing into your iPhone using PuTTY or via USB Terminal if you don't know your device's local IP Address.

    I had to put phone into DFU mode and restore it :(

    That was the final solution. :/
