I think he should install the beta because the success rate is higher. In jailbreak mode he can then use version 2.1.4 to rejailbreak. The mod menus also work. He can also use the 2.1.4 directly but I do not think that he has a developer account and thus can only use EL Exploit but the success rate is not that high.

Install the newest version of unc0ver. Than you can download version 2.1.4 via github. Install via Filza or Ifile. Now you can jailbreak your device with the stable jailbreak and can rejailbreak with the 2.1.4 to use the IGMM. Sorry for my bad English.
