      Haha I didn't mean to strike a debate, but you must have a chicken to lay an egg so where did this egg that produces chickens come from?

      Evolution. If you follow the theory, chickens had to have evolved from a dinosaur (or some other primitive lifeform), so the chicken was most likely created from an egg laid by a creature that was 1 step behind the chicken in the evolutionary chain.
