i found you can disconnect wifi and data connection, then overwrite the files, then you can go into the game, go to the episodes and click the one you want to download and it will say no INTERNET connection, that is when you can reconnect your wifi and start downloading the episode. you should repeat the steps for all the episode before you start playing.
