    1. Yes, (I'm not a Muslim but i tried fasting due to my Muslim friend's challenge) 2. Honestly i search this at google and ask my friend so my answer is: Be more patient and abstain from immorality. By fasting, we will be more patient and focused on our worship, rather than doing something bad and useless. And also it's because Allah has commanded Muslims to fast in Ramadan.
