I have an iPhone X on 12.1.1 Beta and installed unc0ver via impactor, I got the error that says:
[ErrNo: 2/ Test: “BuildVersions match” ==NULL
Filename: JailbreakViewController.m
Line: 1205
Function: Jailbreak
Description: RootFS already mounted, delete OTA file from settings.]
I came across a Reddit thread that supposedly fixes this issue, but I'm worried I'm doing something incorrectly.
It says 2. Now just download ios update from settings > general > software update and be careful not to install it (if updates are still blocked, reboot and repeat step 1)
I go into settings and where the software update is, but it only gives me a "download and install" option. I ended up looking for a different solution and came across a fix that has these steps:
-------------------------------
Open unc0ver
Change the “Disable auto updates” to be off
Jailbreak it but you will have the same error message as before
Restart the phone again
Go to software update in settings and let it download the update
Delete the OTA update and wait for 2 minutes for the OTA to be completely removed
Start unc0ver again and hopefully your problem is solved
------------------------------------------------
I opened unc0ver and unticked disable auto updates, pushed jailbreak (failed), turned my phone off and back on, but when I checked my software update it says "Update requested, estimating time remaining" (I didn't push anything, it was doing that even though I have Automatic Updates off). It's been doing that for about 10 minutes now and nothing has changed.
Where do I go from here?? I don't want to ruin getting a jailbreak because my dumbass can't follow directions properly. Could someone help me? Thanks in advance
