My bad, I meant I was using some old build like 0.16 or around that, everything was running smoothly, then it just refused to run checking for updates and giving an error; thus I updated it to the current build and it still wont run, getting the same checking for updates error, system wide vpn won't solve it.

Yeah vpn helped, thank you, but once I run the app it checks for updates and it says 'Failed to check for updates: directory/sideloadly/exe/windows-amd64.json: dial tcp 104
