It depend on game too and here it works like that! It is still an advantage since u see the moving dots and you can know where are others

alright, tried it out. It works fine. Only problem that is bugging me is the minimap. If the enemy dies, his ‘dot’ stays on that map for the entire round. Same for you if you die, your ‘dot’ And ‘field of vision’ remain on the map. So it’s duplicated.
