my dad is one that goes around looking for stuff that people don't need anymore and he got a box from some one that they where throwing and he found it in there. would like to but like i said i looked up serial number and it is linked to no I cloud account. so there is no way to get a hold of the previous owner.

yeah I tried the same thing with a different ipad but it is still locked so who ever ownedthe first ipad never setup icloud on it then.

Hello all my dad recently found an ipad 2 64gb when turned it on it was acting weird and couldn't access the home screen. So from their i hooked it up to itunes and restored it to factory settings and was able to setup as a new ipad. so my question is was there no i cloud account in the first place on this and they never turned i cloud lock on?.
