Seem to have encountered a bug where signing in with google after making an account with the same email disables the old account and makes a new one. I ended up using iGameGod to do what I needed instead, which worked just as well. Seems like either way, the login page uses some webkit or new web features not present in iOS 15.1, so I couldn't log in on any other browser or re-log in after logging out, only signing up.
