Thanks! Sadly I'm thinking I made a mistake. The best way for me to get things working is updating my Apple ID. But... Apple doesn't seem to want anyone to do that, and the bug on their Apple ID site is pretty old, given what the bug is. Apparently a select few Apple CS know the bug and mentioned a potential fix by visiting an Apple Store, but... idk. I'd hate going up to someone and saying, "Hi, I bought a used, defunct iPad, care to loan me a more recent device to open an account, so I can use it?"

Howdy. I'm a cat parent to the Void and a well-behaved feral grey tux. Outside of my new dive into iPads, I'm a gamer, love anime and Asian dramas. Funny story: I bought an iPad Mini 1 because it felt like a good idea at the time. But now I'm seeing that my idea of a cheap iPad for the sake of basic sketching might have been a poor choice in model. Oh well. So I'm here to lurk and see what I can do for this poor thing until I save up for a better model. I like to use my passive earning for stuff like this, outside the budget, which is why I'm not immediately buying something new. I have a well-built PC geared toward gaming and art, so I'm not hurting. But it'd be nice to use this iPad for sketching when I'm traveling or don't feel like repositioning my monitor/display tablet for art. At worst, it can become my reading tablet, lol. Now... if anyone feels inspired toward tossing ideas or links to IPAs for sideloading, I'll be appreciative. Otherwise, hi, thanks for reading, and I'll continue to lurk and learn things.
