Perhaps a trick similar to CoC can be used--instead of connecting to the official server, you can modify the app to instead pretend to receive its data from your own private file, thereby letting you have free will to set your resources to any number you want. Although a downside of this is that it is purely clientside, and anything you do won't carry over to the official server. I doubt that it's really a problem though, since I'd assume that most people would hack this game just to be able to progress and see more of the story without having to wait, grind, or pay for currency.

Seems like an interesting game. Will try it out.
